Chrystoph Marten’s “Teddy“

Dedicated to the German designer and manufacturer of the original “Teddy Bear", Richard Steiff (who is from Chrystoph’s home of Franken in Northern Bavaria).

Chrystoph's “Teddy” stands playfully upright as an irreverent homage to the spirit of the great American President and New Yorker, Teddy Roosevelt, whose refusal to shoot a defenseless bear during a 1902 hunting trip became the inspiration of the ubiquitous and loveable toy bear that children throughout the world cuddle with each night before sleep.

Bauhaus-Inspired Wig Exhibition

Chrystoph Marten’s artistic display of his world-famous wig treatments play off of traditional Bauhaus design technique, which is commonly characterized by the combination of modernism and the Arts & Crafts movement.

It is defined by its streamlined aesthetics and straight-forward simplicity, which is clearly evident here in Chrystoph’s piece.
