Our Talents/DJ’s: Page 3

Nur Jaber

Growing up playing the drums and bass guitar this talented Producer/DJ’s powerful musical roots saw her arrive in Berlin in 2010 and find her way into the house and techno clubs of this magical city. Originally coming from a beautiful yet troubled homeland of Beirut, Lebanon, the cultural experiences have without a doubt inspired and enriched her music always having deeper messages and meanings. She gained a plethora of valuable experiences at Boston’s Berklee College of Music over the summers. She moved more towards electronic music, in particular music that makes you dance!

We can surely expect more emotional and energetic productions as well musically varied and journey-like DJ sets that hold no genre limitations.

SLNYC EXCLUSIVE: DJ Karotte @ Harry Klein Club - Munich, Germany

It's not only the snug confines of this room that guarantees Harry Klein's vibe. Fitting a soundproof "room-in-room" structure based on eleven springs under its soundsystem six years ago, the speakers can now be pumped a few extra notches, allowing clubbers to lose their heads even further. Add to this wall-to-wall screens of trippy visuals and psychedelic projections and a soundtrack put together by some of the underground's finest and you've got a cheeky little club that's worth checking out if you so happen to pass through Munich. As Oliver Huntemann puts it, "It's like a thrill ride - kind of outer space - small but fantastic".

Sanio

Sanio grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and moved to Nuremberg, Germany, in 2011 to study engineering.

His passion for electronic music probably started after hearing the album Discovery by Daft Punk and after that flourished significantly year by year.
During university he started DJing at a local restaurant/bar to earn some money on the side, which not only opened his mind to new genres and sounds, but also gave him the necessary enthusiasm to found his own event series, Hertz & Seele, together with his classmate Zarth.

From classmate to roommate and from bedroom DJ's to home studio, Sanio & Zarth started producing music every spare time they had.
This led to various releases, mostly on Plano B Records from Rio.

Philip Gonzales

Philipp Gonzales started playing piano at the tender age of 5 and kept his love to this instrument until he bought his first synthesizer in 1993. It was only three years later when he teamed up with his partner Oliver Thumann to found their own production studio at the cellar of his granny. Both shared the love for old synths and drum machines, so that they started collecting vintage stuff until they were broke.Philipp and Oliver, who later also produced with their youth buddy Markus Homm, were always into the deeper kind of sound.

Influenced from Philipp's record collection of disco and house music and Oliver's love for funk soul and jazz music, they created a number of tracks that they even performed as a live act on diverse school parties in the 90ies.It wasn't until late 2000 where Philipp released his first record on the London based jazz and latin label Farout Records, to be followed by some cooperations with Markus Homm, that led to releases on Highgrade Records, Brise Records Berlin and Kiara Records Barcelona. His tracks are getting played by various well known djs and even appear on Dj Sneaks compilation for Fabric London.
